Job summary

Akima Global Logistics (AGL), an Akima company, seeks a Supply Technician to manage daily receipt, inspection, storage, and processing of Army equipment for a contractor-operated site. You will verify documentation, update property records, and support audits under Army regulations and contract requirements.

You will operate warehousing activities, use GCSS-Army, DPAS, and LMP to maintain accurate records, coordinate with unit supply personnel, and ensure timely turn-ins with safety and accuracy

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Basic proficiency in English (reading/writing).
• Knowledge of Army logistical functions.
• 2–4 years of logistics, warehousing, or supply experience (Army or contractor environment preferred).
• Familiarity with Army turn-in, supply, or property accountability operations is strongly desired.
• Army supply and property regulations (AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1).
• Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP).
• Ability to interpret and process supply documentation (DA and DD forms).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong organizational, attention-to-detail, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to operate MHE safely and maintain proper storage practices.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a high-volume environment.
• Must have a REAL ID and valid driver's license with proof of vehicle insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC and Tier1/NACI background eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Turn-In & Receiving Operations: process equipment and materiel turn-ins from U.S. Army units; verify documentation for accuracy; conduct visual inspections and assign condition codes; tag items appropriately.
• Accountability & Records Management: enter data into GCSS-Army/DPAS/LMP; assist with inventory reconciliation and property adjustments; maintain equipment accountability.
• Warehousing & Material Handling: safely store and organize equipment; operate forklifts and MHE; follow Army/OSHA safety standards.
• Coordination & Customer Service: assist unit supply personnel; coordinate with supervisors and transportation; communicate discrepancies and corrective actions with Army representatives.
