Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for Pennsburg, PA. The role focuses on monitoring and patrolling facilities, maintaining a visible security presence, and supporting access control for a technology and telecommunications environment.

The position is full time with a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. Candidates must be 21+ years old, have at least one year of security experience, and possess PA Act 235 qualification if firearms are involved.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Act 235 qualification required for PA positions.
• A valid firearms permit preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a critical technology and communications operations location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Carry authorized equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable laws, and site-specific post orders, and complete required incident documentation.
