Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time, armed Security Officer - Access Control and Patrol in State College, PA. You will serve clients, conduct patrols, and deter incidents with a strong customer-service focus.

This role requires Act 235 qualification for PA, a PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit if carrying a weapon, and the ability to travel up to 40 miles. Pay rate is $29.80 per hour; schedule to be discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years combined experience in law enforcement, corrections, or military service, or 5 years armed security.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania with firearms.
• PA Concealed Carry Weapons permit is required for roles carrying a weapon.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to travel up to 40 miles from State College area.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide security services and customer service on site per client policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and resolve security concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and perimeter.
• Enforce site rules and maintain order for site viability.
• Maintain proficiency with protective equipment and weapons.
• Greet guests, escort visitors, and secure entry/exit points.
• Report safety concerns and breaches via written/verbal communication.
• Respond to alarms as a first responder and provide basic first aid.
