Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol in Houston, TX. The role offers reliable fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts for higher earnings, with a pay rate of $18.40 per hour.

The position requires armed security credentials, a minimum 3–5 years of related experience, and compliance with licensing and background checks. A part‑time schedule provides income stability with potential to grow into a full‑time role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while enforcing site policies and security procedures at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities per site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned government buildings, grounds, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry following visitor management policies.
• Prepare incident reports and daily logs, communicating with Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
