Job summary

Walden Security seeks experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. You will enforce entry controls, monitor CCTV, and assist with safeguarding court proceedings.

Responsibilities include roving patrols, escort duties for judges and staff, and preparing incident and security reports. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, valid license, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Minimum three years as a certified law enforcement officer within the last seven years.
• Driver's license with a clean five-year driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and enforce identification systems.
• Roaming patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Monitor post assignments and CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and staff when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage court facility access where applicable.
• Enforce federal law and protect government property and people.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours, accidents and threats.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices.
• Maintain order and safeguard court proceedings.
