Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract.

Essential duties include entry control, roving patrols, stationary post assignments, escort duties for judges and court personnel, and traffic control where applicable. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment to detect weapons and prohibited items.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand guard at stationary posts including CCTV and alarm systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control court facility lights where applicable.
• Enforce federal law during performance of duties and detain when necessary.
• Prepare reports on incidents and contract performance.
