Job summary

Walden Security seeks experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. CSOs will perform entrance control, roving patrols, and secure court facilities to safeguard judges, jurors, and staff.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of verifiable law enforcement experience with arrest authority, plus a valid driver’s license and background clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 3 calendar years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer within the last 7 years
• Experience must include general arrest authority

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using security screening equipment and verify access
• Roving patrol of court facilities and surrounding grounds
• Stand stationary posts including monitoring CCTV and alarm systems
• Provide armed escort duties for judges and court personnel as directed
• Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties as needed
• Enforce federal law and protect government employees and property
• Prepare reports on incidents, accidents, and security issues
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms prior to proceedings
• Maintain courtroom security and enforce judicial orders as required
