Job summary

Walden Security is seeking experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security at courthouses under the USMS contract. CSOs perform entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts, and courtroom security to maintain order and safety.

Candidates must meet education and licensing requirements, be at least 21, have a valid driver’s license and DOJ clearance, and pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3 years verifiable law enforcement or military experience within last 7 years.
• Must read; write; speak and understand English; able to interpret procedures.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; DOJ clearance; completion of certified law enforcement training academy.
• Must be at least 21 years old; able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screen for weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
• Roving patrols of court facilities and grounds.
• Staff stationary posts; monitor CCTV, duress alarms, and courtrooms.
• Provide armed escort duties for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and manage parking where applicable.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours, and contract performance.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices.
• Preserve order and enforce federal law and court orders.
