Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED plus certified law enforcement/military experience.
• Experience: minimum 3 years as an LEO or military equivalent within last 7 years.
• Requirements: read, write, speak and understand English; court environment exposure a plus.
• Licenses: valid state driver’s license and clean driving record; DOJ clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control using screening equipment and verify items.
• Roaming patrols of court facilities and grounds per post orders.
• Guard stationary posts including courtrooms and judge chambers.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and manage lights at court facility properties.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized persons as needed.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours, accidents, or threats.
