Job summary

Walden Security is actively recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security for courthouses under the USMS contract. Essential duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorts, and court attendance to secure court facilities.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, three years of verifiable law enforcement experience, English proficiency, a valid driver's license, and DOJ clearance.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) calendar years of verifiable law enforcement experience within the last seven years.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past five years.
• Must have completed or graduated from certified law enforcement training academy.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and enforce the District’s entry procedures.
• Patrol court facilities and perform roving duty as assigned.
• Stand guard at posts, monitor CCTV and security systems.
• Provide armed escort services for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and manage pedestrian flow on court properties.
• Enforce federal law and detain individuals as required.
• Prepare reports on incidents, hours worked, and contract issues.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices.
