Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of verifiable law enforcement or military service within the last 7 years.
• Must read, write, speak English and understand rules and procedures.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for the past 5 years.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have completed approved training academy.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screening to detect weapons and contraband.
• Rove court facilities to monitor posts and respond to incidents.
• Maintain stationary posts, monitor CCTV, and use duress alarms.
• Provide armed escort for judges and court personnel when directed.
• Direct traffic and control lights on court property as required.
• Enforce federal law and detain unauthorized individuals as needed.
• Prepare reports on labor hours, incidents, emergencies and safety.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and test security devices before proceedings.
• Maintain order in court and enforce court rules and protective orders.
