Job summary

The University of New Hampshire, located in Durham, NH, seeks a part-time Crew & Ice Operator to operate ice resurfacing equipment during home games and ice rentals. You will assist with a wide range of arena maintenance tasks, ensure safety and accessibility, and serve as a building supervisor during rentals under WCA management.

Hours are 10–15 per week with nights and weekends required; compensation ranges from $14 to $18 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in arena operations and operating ice resurfacing equipment preferred.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism and commitment to UNH and WCA Crew members.

Responsibilities

• Operates ice resurfacing equipment during UNH home games and ice rentals.
• Assist with arena maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry tasks.
• Perform ice maintenance duties as assigned.
• Ensure building equipment and public areas are safe and accessible; assist with snow removal.
• Serve as point of contact or building supervisor during ice rentals; supervise in absence of staff.
• Open and close facility as scheduled and ensure it is secured.
• Assist with event setup and breakdown of function areas.
• Light janitorial duties such as cleaning hockey glass/boards and locker rooms.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures; perform other duties as assigned.
