Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking an Area Vice President for Surgery, East. This field-based role can be located in NJ, NY, PA, Baltimore, MD, or DC, with broad geographic flexibility.

The AVP leads an area sales team, builds executive-level relationships, and develops strategies to grow market share while aligning with IDN and facility priorities. Strong leadership, collaboration, and data-driven decision making are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 12+ years healthcare business experience; 5+ years in people management.
• Strong understanding of US healthcare and digital environment.
• Proven track record in commercial leadership (marketing, sales, contracting, finance).
• Experience leading across Life Sciences/MedTech/Tech portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop an area sales organization to achieve business objectives.
• Establish relationships with IDNs and facilities to engage key decision-makers.
• Develop and implement strategies aligned with market opportunities.
• Oversee cross-functional resources to support growth and vitality.
• Ensure staffing, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Drive data-driven decision-making and monitor industry trends.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and J&J standards.
