Job summary

Inserso Corporation is seeking an Area Technical Lead to provide on-site and remote Tier 2 IT support for DHS customers. You will lead a team of engineers, manage escalations, and coordinate LAN/WAN and data center activities, including server backups and patching.

The role requires 8+ years IT experience, leadership in technical settings, and ability to travel up to 20%. The job supports a diverse IT environment across multiple sites, including law enforcement contexts.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and pass the DHS Employment Eligibility Verification process.
• Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of IT-related support experience, preferably through progressive technical roles.
• 3 years’ experience providing technical enterprise support within a large, complex organization, dealing with a wide range of users, systems, and networks.
• 1+ year experience in a lead technical role or supervisory position supporting a group of 5 or more.
• Must be able to travel as required (up to ~20%).

Responsibilities

• Serves as a designated lead to other systems engineers, including delegation and technical direction.
• Supports escalations and mentoring for new employees.
• Acts as senior technical point of contact for assigned customers.
• Prepares and submits IT service reports and data requests.
• Leads team and project meetings with engineers, support groups, and client IT management.
• Coordinate LAN administrator support and maintenance of network devices and servers.
• Provide support for mobile and wireless devices and for testing and applying server configurations and patches.
• Monitor ITSM assignments and maintain documentation quality.
• Provide regular activity reports and inventory input to the customer systems.
