Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an Area Supervisor to join our store leadership team. This role oversees a specific store area and supports operations when the Store Manager is away, ensuring a safe, well-merchandised, and customer-friendly environment.

The ideal candidate has strong supervisory experience, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with POS systems. Evening and weekend work is required in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Maintain safe and secure shopping environments and report unsafe conditions.
• Lead loss prevention efforts and manage cash handling responsibilities.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and Front End procedures.
• Perform Administrative duties and support the Store Manager as needed.
