Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee daily operations, ensuring safe, friendly, and efficient shopping experiences.

You will open/close the store, supervise associates, uphold merchandising standards, manage front-end services, and support loss prevention while delivering Ross's brand standards. This role requires excellent communication, supervisory experience, and availability for evenings and weekends; base pay ranges from $18.40 to $21.78

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to interact professionally with customers and Associates.
• Fluency in English required; prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment; strong mathematical/pricing skills; able to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation, clean work areas and a safe shopping environment.
• Lead front-end operations, coach cashiers, and enforce loss prevention practices.
• Train and coach Associates; manage break schedules and daily payroll basics.
