Job summary

Ross Dress for Less is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and support operations as the Manager on Duty. You will open and close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment while upholding brand standards.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety, training front-end staff, merchandising, loss prevention, and daily administrative duties. Strong supervisory and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain safe, secure shopping environments and report unsafe conditions.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and clean work areas are maintained.
• Train and coach Front End staff; manage break schedules and cashier procedures.
• Support merchandising, stockroom organization and loss prevention efforts.
