Job summary

Ross-Dress-For-Less is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specified store area and oversee daily operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with strong loss prevention focus.

The role emphasizes merchandise presentation, store cleanliness, and adherence to company processes. Strong leadership, communication, and payroll/admin duties are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store; supervise associates and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Train and coach front-end associates on cash handling and policies.
• Manage front-end pace to reduce customer wait times and improve service.
• Perform payroll administration and other duties as assigned by Store Manager.
