Job summary

Ross Dress for Less is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a specific store area and oversee daily operations as Manager on Duty. You’ll supervise Associates, open and close the store, and ensure a welcoming, well-merchandised shopping environment.

You will uphold safety, Loss Prevention, Front End efficiency, and proper stock handling, while training staff and enforcing company standards. This role requires strong communication and availability for evenings/weekends in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

Excellent verbal communication skills.
Fluency in English.
Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Open and close the store and supervise Associates as Manager on Duty.
Maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensure proper merchandise presentation.
Enforce safety, security procedures and Loss Prevention policies.
Lead Front End operations, cashier training and handling of refunds.
Assist with stock movement, receiving, merchandising and back-stock control.
Perform administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.
