Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to join Store Leadership. You will oversee a specific store area and the general operations when acting as Manager on Duty, including opening and closing, supervising associates, and ensuring a friendly, well-merchandised shopping environment.

You will uphold safety, loss prevention, and company standards, train front-end staff, and coordinate merchandising, receiving, stockroom organization, and daily tasks to keep the store running efficiently.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise Associates as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and store cleanliness.
• Enforce Company operational processes and loss prevention.
• Train and coach front-end staff on cash register procedures.
• Ensure safety, security, and proper back-room organization.
• Assist with floor replenishment and time-efficient checkout.
