Job summary

Ross Stores in the United States is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a specific store area and assist with general operations when acting as Manager on Duty. This role includes opening/closing, supervising associates, ensuring a safe, presentable store, and enforcing daily operational processes.

Qualified candidates will have strong customer service and supervisory experience, familiarity with POS systems, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as assigned and supervise staff.
• Maintain safe, clean, and friendly shopping environment for customers.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Supervise Front End operations and coach Associates on procedures.
• Assist with payroll administration including scheduling as needed.
