Job summary

Ross Stores in the United States is seeking an Area Supervisor to oversee a defined store area and supervise Associates as the Manager on Duty. You will handle opening/closing, merchandising, safety, and customer service to maintain a friendly, easy‑to‑shop environment.

The role requires strong communication, supervisory experience, and familiarity with POS systems; you will train staff, manage basic payroll processes, and ensure adherence to company standards while supporting store operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior Customer Service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store and supervise associates as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and easy-to-shop environment for customers.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and stockroom organization.
• Supervise Front End operations, including cash handling and POS procedures.
• Train and coach Associates; manage labor, scheduling, and payroll basics.
• Enforce loss prevention, safety, and company policies.
