Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area and oversee daily operations, opening and closing, supervising Associates, maintaining a friendly, easy-to-shop environment and ensuring merchandise presentation.

You will work with Store Leadership to drive performance. Required: excellent verbal communication, fluency in English, prior customer service and supervisory experience, familiarity with POS systems, basic math, and the ability to work evenings and weekends; you will

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication; fluent in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store, supervise Associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Lead Front End operations, train cashiers, and manage break schedules.
• Support Store Manager with payroll, scheduling, and daily administrative duties.
• Uphold safety, loss prevention, and Ross brand standards.
