Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a store area and oversee daily operations as the Manager on Duty. You will supervise associates, ensure a safe and inviting shopping environment, and maintain merchandise presentation to company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, training staff on cash handling, and executing store processes while supporting Loss Prevention and Front End activities. Strong customer service and English fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Fluency in English required.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations used in retail.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, secure, and organized store operations.
• Supervise associates and ensure proper merchandise presentation and cleanliness.
• Open/close the store when on duty and support the manager on duty.
• Train and coach associates on cash handling and front-end procedures.
• Assist with stock reception, merchandising, and loss prevention tasks.
