Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor in Alameda, CA to oversee a specific store area and supervise the store when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and maintain a friendly, easy-to-shop environment that supports Company processes.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, merchandising, stockroom organization, loss prevention, and front-end efficiency, while delivering excellent customer service and leading by example.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and security on the sales floor.
• Provide excellent customer service and leadership.
• Supervise Associates and manage store operations as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Assist in front-end operations to minimize wait times.
• Assist with administrative duties and store compliance.
