Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area, ensure smooth daily operations, and support safety, merchandising, and customer service standards.

This role requires the ability to supervise Associates, manage the front-end and stock room, and uphold loss prevention practices. The Area Supervisor will open/close the store as Manager on Duty, maintain clean and organized spaces, and participate in payroll and administrative duties as assigned by Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store and supervise Associates when functioning as Manager on Duty.
• Maintain safe and secure shopping environments and report unsafe conditions.
• Oversee merchandising, stockroom, and back-stock to company standards.
• Supervise Front End operations and train cashiers on procedures.
• Assist in payroll administration and daily store administrative duties.
