Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to manage a specified store area and oversee operations when acting as Manager on Duty. You will open/close the store, supervise associates, and ensure a friendly, easy-to-shop environment with proper merchandise presentation and cleanliness.

You will also execute store processes, lead loss prevention efforts, and collaborate with leadership on staffing, payroll, and front-end duties to deliver a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as needed.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Maintain proper merchandise presentation and store cleanliness to standard.
• Execute and supervise Company operational processes as needed.
• Train and coach Associates on cash registers and front-end procedures.
• Assist with payroll administration and scheduling as assigned by Store Manager.
