Ocean State Job Lot in the Northeast is seeking a Store Area Supervisor in Norwood, MA to oversee daily operations and merchandising in assigned zones, ensuring smooth freight flow and exceptional customer experiences under a Team Leader.

You will help develop future leaders, schedule tasks, train associates, and maintain pricing, signage, backroom stock, and safety standards while upholding company policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in retail environments required.
• Customer service and training experience preferred.
• Merchandise ordering, receiving, stocking experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Google tools and Qlik expected.

Responsibilities

• Champion exceptional customer service in a diverse environment.
• Bridge between customers and corporate customer service for resolutions.
• Promote company initiatives, donations, loyalty programs, promotions.
• Create effective work schedules for the assigned area.
• Provide guidance and support to the team to ensure task completion.
• Support training for store associates and growth opportunities.
• Manage merchandise presentation and adherence to guidelines.
• Maintain signage and ticketing, manage backroom stock and floor flow.
• Verify pricing of incoming shipments and report discrepancies.
• Handle packaways, returns, transfers, recalls per policy.
• Uphold store safety and maintenance standards.
• Open/close procedures when designated and operate a cash register.
