Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot in Medway, MA is seeking a Retail Store Area Supervisor (Key Holder) to oversee daily operations and merchandising for a designated area. This on-site, full-time role reports to a Team Leader and offers a clear path to leadership within OSJL.

You will champion outstanding customer service, manage staff schedules, train associates, and ensure correct pricing, signage and backroom flow in accordance with company guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1 or more years professional experience in other retail environments required.
• Prior customer service experience, training experience, and prior merchandise ordering, receiving, stocking, and maintenance experience in other retail environments is preferred.
• Computer skills (i.e., Google platform, including, but not limited to, Email, Sites, Slides, Drive, Docs, Sheets; and Qlik).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and foster an inclusive environment.
• Bridge the gap between customers and corporate support for effective resolution.
• Promote company initiatives and manage area schedules and staffing.
• Guide and support the team to ensure task completion and growth.
• Assist with training for store associates and cross-team development.
• Manage merchandise presentation and ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Maintain accurate signage, pricing and backroom stock flow.
• Verify pricing on shipments and handle returns per policy.
