Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking an Area Supervisor to lead a defined store area and oversee daily operations when on duty. You will manage opening/closing, supervise Associates, and maintain an inviting, well-merchandised store environment.

Key duties include executing merchandising standards, enforcing safety and loss prevention policies, and coaching staff on cash handling and front-end procedures. Evening/weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Prior customer service and supervisory experience preferred.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale equipment and applications.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the Store as needed.
• Supervise Associates and maintain a friendly, easy to shop environment.
• Ensure proper merchandise presentation and clean work areas.
• Execute company merchandising, stockroom and loss prevention processes.
• Train and coach Associates on cash handling and Front End procedures.
• Oversee payroll administration and scheduling as assigned.
