Job summary

Trane Technologies in Willowbrook, IL is seeking an Area Service Leader to drive service repair, upgrades, and installation efforts with a team of managers and technicians. The role focuses on P&L, project execution, and a safe, efficient service operation.

You will develop staff, ensure safety, and align service activities with regional goals, while traveling to customer sites as needed and maintaining strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in HVAC or related field.
• 3+ years experience managing and coaching large teams.
• Project management skills to oversee and drive project execution.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications; Salesforce experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• P&L responsibility; monthly revenue forecasting; grow service agreements and installations.
• Budget control for overhead items (fleet, uniforms, tools, safety).
• Risk mitigation for service agreements and repairs.
• Oversee service coordination; balance technician training and resources across the district.
• Coach and develop service employees; drive continuous improvement and training programs.
• Ensure margin targets; manage invoices and cash flow; improve service processes.
• Ensure EH&S compliance; provide safety training for the team.
• Travel to customer sites as required; outdoor work in variable conditions.
