Job summary

DMG MORI USA, INC is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive sales of DMG MORI machine tool solutions in designated regions. The ASM reports to the Regional Sales Director and maintains active customer relationships while pursuing new accounts.

This role requires a strong B2B sales background, close collaboration with engineering teams, and frequent customer visits. Travel is 80% or more, with a base salary plus commission and an emphasis on achieving annual sales targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Associate’s degree with 5+ years’ of B2B sales experience.
• 2-5 years in B2B sales/Business Development.
• Recent experience in machine tool environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and foster customer relationships.
• Promote the sale of DMG MORI products and provide technical sales support.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineers to assess equipment needs.
• Develop and present proposals for customer requirements.
• Visit customer facilities to review engineering and service issues and sales opportunities (min. 25 visits/week).
• Develop strategic plans to achieve yearly sales goals.
• Partner with engineering staff for demonstrations.
