DMG MORI USA seeks an Area Sales Manager to lead the sale of DMG MORI machine tools across Michigan region, driving innovative solutions for customer work requirements. The role reports to the Regional Sales Director and offers base salary plus commission.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in B2B sales, a relevant degree, and recent manufacturing experience; heavy travel (80%+). Base salary of $62,000 with commission potential. Exempt position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
• Associate’s Degree from an accredited university with 5+ years of B2B sales experience.
• 2-5 years in B2B sales/Business Development.
• Recent experience in machine tool environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Build and foster customer relationships.
• Promote the sale of DMG MORI products and provide technical sales support.
• Collaborate with Applications Engineers to assess equipment needs.
• Develop, present, or respond to customer proposals.
• Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers.
• Visit customer facilities for weekly sales opportunities (min 25 visits).
• Proactively visit customer facilities to address engineering issues.
• Submit Territory Planning and MIS reports weekly; timely expense reporting.
• Semiannual OEM factory visits in Japan, Germany, Italy, and China.
• Develop strategic plans to achieve yearly sales goals.
• Partner with engineering staff for demonstrations.
• Other duties as assigned.
