Job summary

Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits in Missouri seeks an Area Manager to lead a team of Sales Consultants, manage a large territory, and drive customer relationships and sales execution.

You will develop territory plans, coach staff, manage budgets, and align with supplier programs while delivering exceptional service and growth. This role requires leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong field presence to advance our market position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree plus three years of experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Knowledge of beverage alcohol products, SGWS portfolio, and key features/benefits.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a team of sales consultants and evaluate performance.
• Develop territory sales plans to achieve goals across customer segments.
• Establish regular team meetings to align territory priorities with campaigns.
• Coach consultants on pre-plans, visit notes, and opportunities to meet objectives.
• Coach on building a strong pipeline and improving product knowledge.
• Assess talent, hire and discipline staff when needed.
• Analyze expenditures and ensure budget compliance.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
