Job summary

Amazon in Bangor, ME is hiring an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees and ensure safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The role supports on-time delivery to customers and coordinates with Safety, HR, and other teams. Training is up to 10 weeks at a site 50+ miles away, with travel paid by Amazon.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts up to 12 hours, and climb stairs.
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and weather, including outside loading and refrigerated environments.
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts).
