Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly employees and ensure safety, quality, and on-time deliveries. Training will occur at an operating site 50+ miles from the home site and last 2+ weeks, with all travel paid by Amazon.

The role involves overnight shifts (late afternoon to early morning) on a front-half or back-half schedule, with potential changes based on business needs. You will collaborate across Safety, Ops, Loss Prevention, and HR to meet objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather.
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts).
