Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services in Midland, TX seeks a first-level operations supervisor for compressor packages and rental equipment. The role leads Field Service Technicians, coordinating maintenance, data reporting and customer interaction to ensure safe, efficient day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include guiding Supervisors, training staff, maintaining 98% mechanical availability, and supporting safety programs. Must travel, work weekends, and respond to call-outs as needed.

Qualifications

• Communication and customer service skills are required.
• OEM, trade school, or comparable work experience in a related field/industry.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and complete tasks.
• Strong mechanical intuition and ability to follow manuals.
• Experience with OEM literature and technical programs.
• Ability to operate commercial vehicles and cranes.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to Supervisors and Technicians.
• Hire, train, and develop Technicians and Supervisors.
• Perform and schedule routine maintenance and repair on equipment.
• Ensure 98% mechanical availability of units.
• Manage data and reporting for field operations.
• Interact with Kodiak Sales team and attend customer meetings as needed.
• Oversee safety and environmental controls in operations.
• Report to Regional Manager of Operations on key metrics.
