Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a driven sales professional to develop independent accounts with emphasis on profitability through new sales and account penetration. You will promote company branded products and support customer service activities for regional and national chain customers, increasing market share.

The role requires collaboration with team members across the department and organization to deliver value for customers and the company, performing duties as assigned to support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months sales/marketing and/or restaurant experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Generates additional business by analyzing sales territory and customers and presenting products.
• Grows sales and profit margins to meet goals.
• Sets up new customer accounts, negotiates pricing, and coordinates deliveries and follow-ups.
• Ensures customer satisfaction by coordinating with center personnel to resolve issues, including delivery problems.
• Builds business with current customers through product penetration to maximize profitability.
• Monitors accounts for credit terms to minimize receivables problems.
• Maintains awareness of pricing trends to ensure competitive pricing.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
