Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across multiple sites in Texas, ensuring quality service and budget adherence. You will lead staffing decisions, oversee training, and maintain strong client relations with a focus on safety and efficiency.

In this role, you will manage schedules, review performance, and coordinate with site teams to meet contract requirements while driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years’ management experience in a service-related industry, preferably janitorial.
• Business level oral and written communication in English.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and active listening skills.
• Ability to lead and encourage teamwork; negotiate and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Select and place janitorial personnel; manage hiring, performance appraisals, and career development.
• Understand and champion the company values and people culture.
• Assign duties, inspect work for cleanliness, and ensure contract quality.
• Manage work procedures and schedules within the labor budget.
• Conduct new hire orientation and safety training to enable safe performance.
• Prepare time sheets, reports, and paperwork for employees and operations.
• Maintain open communication and coach employees to empower success.
• Build relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly.
• Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction.
• Monitor accounts for additional work opportunities and contract expansion.
• Ensure Quality Control site visits are completed and documented.
