Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking an Area Manager to supervise janitorial staff across multiple TX sites, ensuring high standards and on-time service within budget. You will lead hiring, training, and performance activities while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires at least 2 years of management experience in a service-related field, with solid English communication and a customer-centric mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of management experience in a service-related industry.
• Business level English communication, reading and writing.
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing environments.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Selection and placement of janitorial personnel; hiring decisions, performance appraisals, design and implement career development plans.
• Understand and champion the company's strategic principles, core values and people culture.
• Assign duties and inspect work for cleanliness and completion; review performed work to ensure quality of service.
• Determine work procedures and prepare schedules within the labor budget.
• Conduct new hire orientation, safety training and job training for hourly staff.
• Prepare and review time sheets, reports, work orders, and related paperwork.
• Create open communication by addressing employee relations issues and coaching staff.
• Establish relationships with customers by visiting accounts regularly to ensure quality service.
• Resolve problems and customer complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction.
• Document customer contacts and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
• Monitor accounts for new work and add-ons to contracts.
• Ensure required Quality Control site visits are completed and recorded.
• Spend time at accounts to support outcomes and meet customer needs.
