Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern position in several locations, including Knoxville, TN. The role focuses on coaching a team of Amazon Associates, leading a shift, and delivering a summer project in collaboration with site leadership.

Interns will receive extensive training, mentorship, and practical leadership experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with shifts that may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50–100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours.
• Shift patterns include nights, weekends, and holidays with a typical 4-day week.
• Oversee truck deliveries, sort packages with pallet jacks, and operate PIT equipment where applicable.
• Maintain safety and quality standards while adapting to changing workloads.
