Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is offering a ten-week Area Manager Intern position located in Alabama. The role focuses on coaching, mentoring, and leading a team of hourly associates in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

You will participate in extensive leadership training, work on a summer project with site leadership, and learn to balance safety, quality and productivity while guiding your team through daily shifts.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with anticipated completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program for Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering or another related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn to coach, manage and develop a team of 50-100 Amazon Associates.
• Drive standard work and continuous improvement through an intern project.
• Work independently and operate in an autonomous environment.
• Stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
• Willing and able to regularly work shift patterns that include nights, weekends, and/or holidays based on business needs.
• Oversee truck deliveries, handle and sort packages using pallet jacks, operate PIT equipment (at applicable facilities).
• Keep peers and leadership informed on shift performance and risks.
