Job summary

ShipBob, Inc. is seeking an Area Manager, Inbound Hub Operations for our Fort Worth hub. You will lead a 30+ inbound team across dock, receiving, and processing, owning dock scheduling, WROs, and quality checks to feed the network.

You’ll drive KPI ownership, staff planning, and safety while coordinating transfers to spoke centers to meet 3-day hub SLAs and inventory accuracy targets. Rotate shifts as needed and coach talent.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of people management and operational leadership in a high-volume 3PL.
• Ability to manage performance, provide feedback, train and develop talent.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerBI; knowledge of TMS.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication; change-ready.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 30+ inbound associates team across dock, receiving, and processing.
• Review weekly inbound volume and forecasts to meet hub objectives.
• Balance labor with other Area Managers to run efficient shifts.
• Own inbound hub metrics like UPH, 3-day SLA, and inventory accuracy.
• Manage dock scheduling and inbound appointment flow with carriers.
• Ensure accurate counts, quality checks, and prompt processing of inventory.
• Drive dock-to-stow cycle time and escalate discrepancies for resolution.
• Coordinate transfer of received inventory to regional spokes with transport.
• Train and coach teams; promote engagement and safety programs.
