Amazon is hiring an Area Manager in Richmond, VA to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance metrics. You will coordinate with Safety, Engineering, and HR to meet delivery promises and optimize operations across first, middle, and last mile workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
• Work around variable noise and temperatures at delivery stations.
• Continuously climb and descend stairs where applicable.
