Job summary

Hoffman Mechanical Solutions is seeking an Area Manager to lead the local Technical Services Team and own day-to-day field operations. You will collaborate with technicians, coordinators, and the Director of Technical Operations to ensure on-time service delivery and profitability.

The role requires 5+ years in HVAC, strong leadership, and the ability to travel. Candidates should be able to manage field workloads, mentor staff, and maintain high customer satisfaction while ensuring safety and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years HVAC experience
• Strong analytical, interpersonal & communication skills
• Prior service management experience preferred, but not required
• Clean Driving Record
• Ability to travel occasionally, with some overnight stays
• Ability to lead small teams
• EPA mandated refrigerant handling card (Universal preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the local Technical Services Team.
• Manage technicians and field staff; mentor and coach.
• Coordinate with service coordinators to assign work efficiently.
• Communicate daily status of high-profile jobs to stakeholders.
• Audit timesheets and field reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor WIP and advise on billing and backlog issues.
• Drive customer satisfaction and repeat business with the Sales Team.
• Assist in scope of work for quoted jobs and major equipment overhauls.
