Job summary

Amazon in New Jersey is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates and drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance across shifts. You will engage the team, deliver on customer delivery promises, and collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, QA and HR to achieve business objectives.

The role requires 2+ years of people management, a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent, flexibility to work weekends/nights/holidays, and a valid US driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Valid USA state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in environments with variable temperatures and noise (delivery stations may be outside)
• Continue to climb and descend stairs at sites with stairs
