Amazon seeks an Area Manager in Newark, NJ to lead a team of hourly staff, guiding safety, quality, attendance, and performance. You will ensure on-time delivery to customers while coordinating with Safety, Engineering, and HR to hit targets.

The role requires 2+ years of people management, a valid US driver’s license, and flexibility to work weekends/nights. Expect a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment with room for growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Do you currently hold a valid and active USA state drivers license?

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, HR to meet objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and perform related physical tasks
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in variable noise and temperature environments
• Climb and descend stairs on some sites
