Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly associates at a delivery/fulfillment site in the United States. You will mentor staff, drive safety and productivity, and coordinate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and HR to achieve business objectives.

The role requires 2+ years in people management, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (or 2+ years Amazon experience), and the ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
• Work in environments with variable noise and temperatures (delivery stations include outside loading)
• Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)
