Job summary

Amazon in Logan Township, NJ is seeking an Area Manager to lead a team of hourly workers, ensuring safety, quality, attendance, and performance while meeting customer delivery promises. You will collaborate with Safety, Engineering, and HR to meet business objectives and support a growing fulfillment network with multiple site opportunities.

The role requires 2+ years in people management, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and flexibility to work weekends/nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• Flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma).
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Industry experience in: retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your hourly workforce.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for long shifts.
• Work in varying noise levels and temperatures, including outdoor loading areas.
• Traverse stairs where applicable.
