Job summary

Hertz Local Edition locations require an Area Manager to drive market share, control fleet, and meet profitability targets while delivering exceptional customer service. You’ll train and develop staff across branches and ensure alignment with company policies and regional goals.

In this role, you’ll lead sales initiatives, manage fleet utilization, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of five years of management experience in a customer-focused environment.
Experience in car rental industry preferred.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across multiple functions and locations.
Ability to influence and lead teams.
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Achieve operational, revenue and financial objectives while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement local sales and marketing initiatives.
Train and develop location staff.
Control vehicle inventory and fleet utilization.
Create an ownership culture focused on sales and service.
Provide performance feedback to employees on a semi-annual and annual basis.
Complete sales calls with Branch staff to increase revenue and market penetration.
Ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
